The SafeHome Access Editorial Team maintains the directory’s planning guides, local service pages, provider-source notes, and editorial standards. The team is an editorial function of SafeHome Access—not a clinical practice, licensing authority, government program, or substitute for a qualified professional.
How a guide is prepared
- Start with a specific decision a family needs to make.
- Prefer current government, code, program, and manufacturer sources.
- Separate general planning references from rules that apply to a specific property or household.
- State important limits, especially around safety, medical needs, permits, eligibility, and funding.
- Keep source links and a visible review date with the published guide.
Expert review
We do not invent expert credentials. When a named occupational therapist, CAPS professional, contractor, attorney, financial professional, or other specialist reviews a page, the page will identify that person, the relevant role, and the scope of review. Until then, it is labeled as editorial-team research.
Corrections and updates
Programs, codes, provider information, and public sources can change. Readers and organizations can submit a documented correction through our contact page. Material corrections are reviewed before publication.
